Tatev Monastery, Armenia

The main church, Surp Poghos-Petros, boasts stunning frescoes and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for reflection. Don't miss the swinging column or Gavazan, an ingenious medieval seismic device. The monastery's rich past as a spiritual and educational center is palpable, and I found myself imagining the monks who once lived and studied here. The panoramic views from the monastery grounds are simply unforgettable, with the surrounding landscape stretching as far as the eye can see.
