Kenai Fjords National Park, Seward

Visiting Kenai Fjords National Park was an absolutely breathtaking experience. The sheer magnitude of the glaciers and fjords left me in awe. As our boat cruised through the icy waters, we were surrounded by towering cliffs and pristine wilderness. The highlight was definitely witnessing the Harding Icefield, a vast expanse of ice that feeds the park's many glaciers. We were lucky enough to see a massive chunk of ice calve off a glacier, crashing into the water with a thunderous roar. The wildlife viewing was incredible too. We spotted sea otters floating on their backs, puffins diving for fish, and even a few humpback whales breaching in the distance. The park's rugged beauty is a testament to the raw power of nature. Hiking along the Exit Glacier trail gave us an up-close look at how these ice giants have shaped the landscape over millennia. The visitor center provided fascinating insights into the area's geology and ecology. As the day ended, we sat on the shore, watching the sun set over the Kenai Mountains, feeling small yet privileged to have experienced such an awe-inspiring place.
