Independence Plaza (Plaza de la Independencia), Quito

As I stepped into Independence Plaza, the heart of Quito, I was immediately struck by its grandeur. I particularly enjoyed watching the changing of the guard ceremony at the Presidential Palace, a spectacle of pomp and precision. As the sun began to set, the plaza took on a magical quality, with the buildings illuminated against the darkening sky.
