Stepping into the Shriver House Museum is like traveling back to the 1860s. This beautifully restored home offers a unique glimpse into civilian life during the Civil War. I was fascinated by the bullet holes in the attic walls, a stark reminder of the Battle of Gettysburg that raged around this very house. The gift shop, housed in what was once the Shrivers' tavern, offers a nice selection of Civil War-related items.
