Stepping onto Île aux Cerfs feels like entering paradise. This breathtaking island off the east coast of Mauritius is a haven of pristine white sandy beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters. As I walked along the shoreline, the powdery sand between my toes and the gentle lapping of waves created an instant sense of tranquility. The island's interior is a lush oasis of tropical vegetation, with towering palm trees providing welcome shade. Water sports enthusiasts will be in heaven here, with opportunities for snorkeling, parasailing, and water skiing. I particularly enjoyed exploring the vibrant underwater world while snorkeling in the lagoon. For golf lovers, the island boasts an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Bernhard Langer, offering stunning ocean views from every hole. After working up an appetite, I indulged in fresh seafood at one of the beachside restaurants, savoring the catch of the day while watching boats bob in the distance. As the day wound down, I found a quiet spot to watch the spectacular sunset, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink.
