Choral Temple (Templul Coral), Wallachia

As I approached the Choral Temple in Bucharest, I was immediately struck by its stunning Moorish Revival architecture. The intricate details and vibrant colors of the facade are truly captivating. Stepping inside, I was enveloped by a sense of tranquility and awe. The grand interior features beautiful stained glass windows, ornate chandeliers, and exquisite woodwork. I was particularly impressed by the massive organ that dominates the back wall of the synagogue. I was fascinated to learn about its rich history, having survived both World War II and the communist era. The small museum on-site provides interesting insights into Jewish life in Romania. While it's not as well-known as some of Bucharest's other attractions, the Choral Temple is definitely worth a visit for its architectural beauty and historical significance. It's a testament to the resilience of Bucharest's Jewish community and a hidden gem in the city's cultural landscape.
