Entoto Natural Park, Addis Ababa

Perched high above Addis Ababa, Entoto Natural Park is a breath of fresh air, both literally and figuratively. As I wandered through the lush eucalyptus forests, the crisp mountain air invigorated my senses. The park offers a perfect escape from the bustling city below, with its tranquil atmosphere and stunning panoramic views. I was amazed by the rich biodiversity, spotting various bird species and even a few shy mammals. The hiking trails are well-maintained, catering to both casual strollers and more adventurous trekkers. One of the highlights was reaching the historic Entoto Maryam Church, a beautiful octagonal structure that offers a glimpse into Ethiopia's rich cultural heritage. The nearby museum houses fascinating artifacts and provides insight into the area's history. As the sun began to set, I found myself at a viewpoint, mesmerized by the golden light washing over Addis Ababa sprawled out below. It's no wonder locals and tourists alike flock here for picnics, exercise, and moments of serenity. Entoto Natural Park truly is a hidden gem, offering a perfect blend of nature, history, and breathtaking vistas.
