Nestled in the Bavarian Alps, Hohenschwangau Castle is a breathtaking sight that transports you back in time. As I approached, the golden-hued walls and towers seemed to glow against the lush green backdrop. The castle's location is perfect for combining with a visit to the nearby Neuschwanstein Castle, Ludwig II's famous fairytale creation.
