Perched atop Gellért Hill, the Citadella offers a breathtaking panorama of Budapest that's simply unforgettable. As I climbed the winding path, the anticipation built, and the view at the top did not disappoint. As the sun began to set, the city below was bathed in a golden glow, with the Danube River snaking through its heart. The Citadella itself, while no longer serving its original military purpose, now houses exhibitions that shed light on Budapest's rich history.
