Eagle Square (Dataran Lang), Kedah

As I approached Eagle Square, the first thing that caught my eye was the massive 12-meter-tall eagle statue perched majestically at the edge of Kuah Bay. This impressive sculpture, with its wings spread wide, seems to welcome visitors to Langkawi Island. The square itself is a beautifully landscaped area, perfect for a leisurely stroll or to simply sit and enjoy the sea breeze. I was fascinated by the intricate fountains and reflecting pools that surround the eagle, creating a serene atmosphere. The square comes alive at night with colorful lighting, making it a popular spot for evening walks. From here, I had breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea and the nearby islands. It's a great place to watch the sunset or observe the ferries coming and going from the nearby jetty. The area also features several food stalls and souvenir shops, where I picked up some local snacks and mementos. Eagle Square is more than just a landmark; it's a vibrant public space that captures the essence of Langkawi's natural beauty and warm hospitality.
