Duncansby Head, Scrabster

Standing at the northeastern tip of mainland Scotland, Duncansby Head is a breathtaking spectacle of nature. The coastal walk along the clifftops offers stunning panoramic views, with the Orkney Islands visible on a clear day. I was lucky enough to spot puffins and other seabirds nesting on the cliffs, adding to the wild beauty of the place. The lighthouse itself, while not open to the public, stands as a stoic sentinel against the elements. The raw power of nature is palpable here, with the wind whipping across the headland and the crash of waves far below. It's a place that makes you feel small in the best possible way, reminding you of the incredible forces that shape our world. Duncansby Head is truly a hidden gem of Scotland, offering a perfect blend of dramatic scenery and serene natural beauty.
