The night spent in a traditional Berber camp under a canopy of stars was unforgettable, with the haunting sounds of desert winds and distant drumming. Early risers can witness a spectacular sunrise over the dunes, painting the landscape in warm hues. Merzouga also offers opportunities for sandboarding and 4x4 adventures in the desert. The nearby salt lake, Dayet Srji, attracts flamingos and other migratory birds, adding a touch of unexpected wildlife to this desert oasis. The warm hospitality of the local Berber people and their rich cultural traditions make Merzouga not just a visual spectacle, but a deeply immersive experience.
