Stepping into ChocoMuseo Antigua is like entering a world of chocolate wonder. The aroma of cocoa hits you as soon as you walk through the door, instantly transporting you to a place of sweet indulgence. This interactive museum offers a fascinating journey through the history of chocolate, from its ancient Mayan roots to modern-day production. The highlight of my visit was definitely the hands-on chocolate making workshop. We learned to roast cacao beans, grind them, and create our own chocolate bars from scratch. It's amazing how much work goes into making this beloved treat! The museum also features a charming gift shop where you can buy locally-made chocolates and unique cocoa-based products. I particularly enjoyed tasting the variety of chocolate flavors, including some with traditional Guatemalan spices. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about chocolate, making the experience both educational and fun. Whether you're a chocoholic or just curious about the process, ChocoMuseo Antigua is a must-visit attraction that will leave you with a deeper appreciation for the "food of the gods."
