Taroko National Park is a breathtaking natural wonder that left me in awe. The star attraction, Taroko Gorge, is a magnificent marble canyon carved by the Liwu River over millions of years. As I walked along the winding trails, I was surrounded by towering cliffs and lush vegetation. The contrast between the white marble and the emerald waters below was simply stunning. One of the highlights was crossing the Swallow Grotto, where I could see swallows darting in and out of small caves in the rock face. The Eternal Spring Shrine, perched on a cliff with a waterfall cascading beneath it, was a serene spot that seemed to blend seamlessly with nature. I also enjoyed hiking through the Tunnel of Nine Turns, where the gorge narrows dramatically, creating an almost mystical atmosphere. The park's diverse ecosystem is home to numerous plant and animal species, and I was lucky enough to spot some Formosan macaques and colorful butterflies. The experience of being immersed in such raw, untamed beauty was truly unforgettable.
