I was mesmerized by the iconic Church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla, perched dramatically on a hill overlooking the sea. Sitges has a vibrant arts scene, and I loved exploring the numerous galleries and museums, especially the Cau Ferrat Museum, once home to the famous Catalan artist Santiago Rusiñol. The town's liberal atmosphere and welcoming vibe make it a popular LGBTQ+ destination, with lively bars and clubs dotting the streets. Foodies will rejoice at the abundance of seafood restaurants serving up fresh catches of the day. Don't miss trying the local xató, a delicious salad with cod, tuna, and romesco sauce. With its perfect blend of beach life, culture, and gastronomy, Sitges is a gem that keeps drawing me back year after year.
