Walking Tour: Death in Paradise & Honoré Police Station Set Entry, Basse-Terre Island

Explore the real locations of Death in Paradise on a walking tour through Deshaies, the village that plays the role of Honoré in the series. The tour starts at the Hôtel de Ville, where you’ll get a short introduction to how Deshaies became the main filming location. From there, we walk through the small village streets, away from the main paths, discovering quiet corners and hidden filming spots that most visitors never see.

The route continues down to the port of Deshaies, a familiar setting from many scenes, with explanations of how filming works and how the village is adapted for the show. We then visit the Honoré Police Station, one of the most iconic locations, where you’ll hear behind-the-scenes stories, details about the actors, and moments from the production.

You’ll also see the airport filming location and learn how those scenes are created. The tour finishes at Catherine’s Bar, a favourite from the series, where you can decide whether to stay for a drink.
